Bee Happy

Hi everyone, Laurel here again with a quick and easy card.  Life has been hectic lately, but now that school is finally out, I will have a chance to regroup and catch up.

For todays card I have used the Rainbows paper pad.

First thing I did was punch out a hole from the smaller panel of cardstock.  I then backed it with pattern paper and then adhered to the card front.

I wanted the little bee from the Bee Happy stamp set to be grounded so I die cut a hexagon using the Mini Containers.  Finally I stamped the Bee Happy sentiment from the stamp set but only used the ‘Bee’ I added the die cut Happy for more interest.

Paper: Rainbows

Stamps: Bee Happy

Congrats

Hi everyone, Laurel here again.
My hubby just got a promotion at work so it inspired this card.  You never know when it might come in handy.  This would work well for a job promotion, graduation or basically anytime you need a congrats.

I used both the Color Me and the Robots paper pads.  The stars work well for a congrats card, don’t you think?

Life has been super busy for me lately so it was a quick and easy card.  Now that school is out, I will have more time for my crafting and I can’t wait!

I have used a sketch from Sketchy Saturday for this card. To see the sketch and play along, hop on over here.

Not just for popsicles….

Hi everyone, Laurel here.  When fellow DT member Amy posted some yummy looking coffee flavored popsicles she not only enabled me to purchase some stainless steel popsicle makers… she inspired this card.

I am not actually a fan of the regular popsicles… you know the all sugar kind – but give me a yummy chocolate fudgesicle or something like it and I’m all over it.

So today’s card is just that, a nice cool fudgesicle themed card.

To create the fudgesicles I used the Coolest Ever Die and just cut and pieced some cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Colorful Day stamp set and die cut it out with the Mini Containers Die.  Finally the sweet sentiment was die cut from some of the Geofetti paper.

Not much else to say, busy times, quick and easy card.  Have a good day!

June Super Sketch

Hi everyone, Laurel here with another sketch challenge for you.  Don’t forget you have all month to play along and there is a prize up for grabs to one lucky participant!

Here is the card that I created for it:

I am looking ahead to summer what about you?  I decided to use the Rainbows collection, such fun happy patterns and colors.

The popsicles are of course from the Coolest Ever die.  I just die cut them, pieced together and then mounted on foam squares.   The stamped sentiment is from the Colorful Day stamp set.  I then used a ‘sweet’ die from my stash.

To add some interest, I just adhered some coordinating buttons and tied on some twine.

Products used:

Paper: Rainbows;

Die: Coolest Ever

Stamp: Colorful Day

Now we would love to see what you create with the sketch:

New month, new sketch….come play along

Hi everyone, Laurel here with another sketch challenge for you.  Don’t forget you have all month to play along and there is a prize up for grabs to one lucky participant!

Here is what I came up with:

Isn’t the sun from the Suntiments so cute?  I stamped the image then used the corresponding die to cut it out.   The cloud was die cut using the Colorful Day Die.

I then thought the little bee from the Mini Bee stamp set would look cute flying by.  I stamped cut it out and mounted it and the sun on foam squares.

I added the die cut word Happy using the Happy Word Die.

So that is my interpretation of the sketch, would love to see what you do with it!

Bday Bash Shaker Birthday Card

Hi everyone, Laurel here again.  I don’t know about you, but the funny thing is… I hardly ever make birthday cards! I go in spurts, but for the most part they are not ones I usually make.

I do like to give birthday cards to the students in my class (I teach grade one), thus I am working on building my stash… the Pattern Happy stamps and papers are so perfect for kids birthday cards!

I am sharing a girl themed card – little girls often like pink, purple and sparkly.  So what little girl would love this card, complete with shaker – which I seem to be on a kick of lately too 😉

I kept it pretty simple really – have you seen how 6 or 7 year olds put things into their backpacks? LOL

I used a mixture of papers from the Geofetti, Rainbows and Color Me papers – love how they are so easy to mix and match.

I die cut the birthday using the Birthday Word die then stapled it on.

I paper pieced the cupcake from the Bday Bash stamp set and mounted it on foam squares.   Finally, I die cut a sentiment from the set using the Mini Containers.

Thanks for visiting…. and oh… if you like the sketch of this card… check out my Sketchy Saturday post… come play along!

A couple of bright happy cards

Hi everyone, Laurel here today with a couple of fun cards.  I run a sketch challenge on my blog every Saturday and both of these cards are different takes on this week’s sketch.  Hop on over to my blog to see the sketch.

First off, with all the rain we have been having this spring… I just had to play with the Rainbows paper pad  , Colorful Day stamp set and Colorful Day Die.

I made the clouds into shakers which is easy when you use Adhesive Foam sheets and die cut the shape with that.

I then went for a different look.  I used the black confetti paper from the Geofetti  collection and went with a birthday card.   I then added a strip of grid paper from the Color Me Happy collection.

I seem to be on a shaker card kick as of late…. I think it is my ever growing supply of sequins and my barely ever using them that is making me do it.

Anyways the paper in the Rainbows collection worked well for lemons don’t you think?  I then stamped one of them with the Bday Bash stamp set.

That’s it for me today. Thanks for stopping by. If you want to see the sketch, head on over to my blog.
