Hi Friends! It’s Carly and I have a easy watercolor technique to share with you today that is perfect for adorable Pattern Happy stamps! And I made a little video too!
Pattern Happy has so many sweet little images just waiting for watercolor like the robots from Best Bots and the party hats from Bday Bash. I used Zig Clean Color Markers but your favorite watercolor medium will work. Embossing the images help keep the watercolor “in the lines” and a circle die can make a great template for the background. Check out the video to see more about the quick & easy process:
Good morning, everyone! Kat here today to share a recent layout that I made using some fun Pattern Happy products.
One of my favorite PH products is the Geofetti 6×6 paper pad. I love the colors and the patterns and when I realized that the papers coordinated nicely with my daughter’s Easter outfit, I knew I had to use the papers to scrap a photo from this past Easter.
I used the papers to back a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and then added my photo. I used scraps to create the top and bottom borders on the layout and then added a small die cut “Hello” to finish everything off.
I love coordinated and bright everything looks! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by today!
Good morning everyone! Kat here this morning and I am so excited to share my first project with you today!
Recently I have been working on a #52favorites album. Have you heard of the concept? It’s kind of like a super simplified version of Project Life. Basically, you pick one photo from each week of the year that you want to highlight. I’ve been focusing my album on my daughter. I think this is such a fun way to document her first year of life!
Hi Friends! Its Carly and I am so excited to be on the Pattern Happy blog with my first post! Today I want to share with you 2 easy card designs using stamps to create patterns.
To get started you need stamps (I’m using the Best Bots set), a stamp positioning tool like the MISTI and your favorite inks.
Decide on a horizontal or vertical pattern and measure your stamp accordingly. For example, for the repeating robot pattern I wanted to create horizontal robot “stripes” so I measured the width of my image, about 1-1/4 inches. Then using the MISTI, I stamped one robot then moved my cardstock 1-1/4 inches to the left and stamped again.
Repeat and repeat.
Once I finished the pattern, I added a sentiment and to complete the cards, I stamped and colored cute little bots.
I used the same process to create a vertical pattern with the “I’M NUTS FOR YOU SENTIMENT”.
Hi everyone, Laurel here. Guess what? Do you love sketches as much as I do? Well…. we will be hosting a monthly sketch challenge right here on this blog. Yep, a new sketch on the first of each month.
We would love for you to play along, now Pattern Happy products don’t have to be used, but we sure would be happy to see them.
Here is what I created with the sketch. I used the Rainbows paper pad along with a cut file – did you know we have cut files?! Yep, this one is the Sweet Sun cut file. I used it to create a shaker box.
