Two Cards | One Stamp Set

Hi all, it’s Amy!  I’m sharing a card duo that features the Mini Nuts and Bolts set.  I love how just a change in the ink color can really shake up a card design.

Here’s a ‘traditional’ look:

Traditional translating to real life colors.  Nuts and bolts tend to be silver so I went with a cement color and a black sentiment from the Best Bots set.

Here’s the non-traditional version.  I love the look of the neon ombre ink:

Honestly, in my household generally I don’t go with traditional.  I adore color and love to spread the happiness.  What about you?

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you’re having a great week!

Quick & Easy & Personalized Thank You Cards

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!  Kat here today to share with you some very quick & easy thank you cards.

The We Are Family stamp set is perfect for creating simple, yet customized cards.  My child is spoiled rotten by the rest of our family, so we send a lot of thank you notes.  I whipped up some quick and easy ones by picking out some cute patterned papers from a variety of Pattern Happy paper pads and adding a simple sentiment on some cardstock.  As a final touch, I added one heart (cut from the All Heart set) on top of each of the sentiments and a star sequin to add a little sparkle.

Here is the final result….and the best part?  I whipped these up in about 5 minutes!

Thanks so much for stopping in!

Shaking things up!

Hey everyone, it’s Amy!  I’m back with a fun shaker card project that features the Coolest Ever stamp set and sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps!

I’ve been on an aqua and peach kick.  I think it screams spring/summer, how about you?  I started off with a panel just a bit smaller than an A2 card front.  I die cut a heart and backed it with acetate.  I prepped the panel for my shaker card and then went to work with the stamped images.

I stamped them out with alcohol friendly black ink and colored them with markers.  I used the coordinating Coolest Ever Dies.

I popped my heart panel in my Mini MISTI and stamped out the sentiment.  I arranged my Spiegelmom Scraps sequins from their Sunny Winter collection.   I finished putting together my main panel and topped off my card with the trio of treats!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope you have an awesome week!

iNSD Inspiration and a Fun Giveaway

Happy interNational Scrapbooking Day! Part of our celebration was a fun collaboration with SpiegelMom Scraps and The Crafty Pocket. We are sponsoring a Grab Five challenge over on the SpiegelMom Scraps Facebook group and you should definitely play along. The five items include: patterned paper, stamps, diets, sequins, and flair.

Today, I’m playing along with that Grab Five challenge and sharing a super fun way to stretch your stamp sets. I started with a stamped image and turned it into a cut file that I could then back with patterned paper.

I then used the clouds at the bottom of the rainbow as a perfect place to create a shaker pocket using the sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. I just love combining mixes and the two that I used this time were Springtime Bliss and In Your Dreams.

I also included a few little die cuts that say “happy, happy, happy” as my title as well as one of the flair badges from The Crafty Pocket.

Now…the best part…I have a process video talking you thru this layout and a big chance for you to win a prize pack. Make sure to click on the video link to check out how you can be entered to win this amazing prize pack.

How to create a Mother’s Day card with a 3 year old

Hi everyone, I have a quick card to share with you today.  I babysit my 3 year old grand daughter on the weekends so we sometimes get crafty.  The papers in the Rainbows collection are so pretty, I decided we could make a card for her mommy.

I let her choose the papers, she chose the purple hearts because her mom’s favorite color is purple 🙂  Anyways, I decided to then let her have a part in the process so I added the heart paper from the Color Me collection

I then had her help me stamp and die cut the hearts from the All Heart set.  I added a face from the Suntiments set to one of the hearts.   The ‘mom’ is from the We Are Family stamp set.

Now I just added the hearts onto the card with glue dots for the photo.  Shortly after this I removed the hearts and let my grand daughter color the background paper and the stamped heart (the mom is adhered with glue dots as well) – she loves to color and couldn’t wait to do so! I then reassembled it and now we are ready for Mother’s day.  So needless to say, the card doesn’t look like this anymore 😉  but she loves it and is proud of it.

New month, new sketch….come play along

Hi everyone, Laurel here with another sketch challenge for you.  Don’t forget you have all month to play along and there is a prize up for grabs to one lucky participant!

Here is what I came up with:

Isn’t the sun from the Suntiments so cute?  I stamped the image then used the corresponding die to cut it out.   The cloud was die cut using the Colorful Day Die.

I then thought the little bee from the Mini Bee stamp set would look cute flying by.  I stamped cut it out and mounted it and the sun on foam squares.

I added the die cut word Happy using the Happy Word Die.

So that is my interpretation of the sketch, would love to see what you do with it!

Coolest Ever Birthday Cards

Hello Friends!

It’s Kristine with you today and I have some super cute cards to share with you! Summer is coming .. slowly but surely on the East Coast and it’s time to start thinking about bright colors and yummy Popsicles!
I created 2 similar cards using papers from the Rainbows Paper Pad and the Coolest Ever Clear Stamp Set. I also used birthday phrases from the Bday Bash Clear Stamp.

I first stamped the images on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine ink. I colored with Zig Clean Color Markers (My favs!) then used the Coolest Ever Dies to finish the images with a clean cut.  Since I love popdots so much I added some on the back of both popsicles.

I added a birthday sentiment but anything goes with these cute images. You could do so many other fun titles with the words and phrases included in the Coolest Ever Clear Stamp set.

I hope you like my examples using these cute stamps and please come join us on social media! @PatternHappy & myself @KristineDavidson

Talk to you again soon!

Rainbow Inspired Card

Hi all, it’s Amy here with you today sharing some rainbow goodness.  I am slowly building a birthday card stash so that I don’t have to frantically design one at the last minute.  Are birthday cards something that you generally design?  For some reason they aren’t for me.  I like to think I scored bonus points for this gender neutral design:

Rainbows make me a happy crafter, how about you?  I started with a panel from the Robots 6×6 Paper Pad.  I adhered it to a red card base.  Truthfully I buy my card bases already cut/scored.

I inked up those sweet cupcakes from the Bday Bash Clear Stamp set.  I was inspired by my teamie Laurel and paper pieced their tops with papers from the Rainbows +Robots 6×6 Paper Pads.  Their cupcake liners and the party hat have been colored with alcohol markers.

I’d love to find out what are your go-to cards that you design?  I love ‘just because’ or ‘hello’.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Best Bots Birthday Cards

Hello Friends! It’s Kristine here and I am super excited to be sharing my first post as a Design Team member for Pattern Happy. We are going to inspire you with some super cute projects and I hope you visit us often for creative ideas!

Today I am sharing 2 cards I created using these super cute stamps! I used the Bday Bash Clear Stamp  & Best Bots Clear Stamp, both can be used individually, but I wanted a cute Happy Birthday Card for my nephew so I used both sets.

I didn’t use any patterned papers for my cards, but a little blue or even pink would be super cute. I colored the robots in a neutral grey using some Zig Clean Color Markers and also used some popdots for some dimension.

This BEST BOTS clear stamp set is sooooo NUTS! It’s really cute and can be used for Love Notes, Birthday, Thinking of You and the list goes on!
