This weekend, my daughter is having a birthday pool party at our house (the dreaded party at home, am I right?!) I am giving each kiddo a drink tumbler and a beach towel but I wanted a little something fun to go along with it. Enter my amazing Pattern Happy stamps and some leftover sequins from the collaboration that we did with SpiegelMom Scraps for interNational Scrapbooking Day!
I started out with a plain piece of white cardstock and a little pre-made shaker box in the shape of a cloud. Using that cloud as a template, I created a template out of scraps of paper that I could use as a mask.
Then, I went ahead and used the cloud background stamp to create the details that were going to go all over my yardstick. Using the Stamp Platform made this super simple!
Once the stamping was one, I just removed that little scrap paper cloud in order to leave my space for the shaker box to be attached.(*Just a note: I purposely left the cloud stamping messy looking and faded as this goes with the rest of the party decor.)
I filled up that little shaker box with sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps (these are those leftovers I mentioned) and then added some splatters of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. I added a few little gold mirror heart stickers as well as the word “Dream” and simply grabbed a tiny clothespin and hooked it to the front of the treat bag full of goodies.
And that was it! Super simple and easy way to create a fun look and dress up those treat bags without a lot of work. I would love to see what you are doing with the amazing background stamps from Pattern Happy so make sure to tag me!
