A Little Shaker for National Scrapbooking Day

Hi Everyone! Carly here and I just wanted to say a quick Happy (inter)National Scrapbooking Day! I have to admit that I don’t make too much time to scrapbook these days but I will always consider myself a scrapbooker! 20 years ago when I walked into my first scrapbooking store, full of beautiful paper & embellishments, I was hooked!

To celebrate today, I created a little shaker with some faux washi, that could become a card, a tag or an accent…

This little shaker was super easy to create with a flower die from the PH Bloom Builder dies. I adhered some acetate behind the negative flower die cut, used foam tape to create a shaker space and filled it with beautiful sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps. I finished with a piece of Geofetti patterned paper on the back.

And I used a sweet little sentiment from the We Are Family stamp set right below. These little sentiments are my new go-to and I’ve been using them a ton!

For the little patterned strip of faux washi at the bottom, I just ran a strip of Geofetti paper through my Xyron Create-a-Sticker and ta-da!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you get a chance to craft today!

Hugs, Carly
